Thornber’s Hay Close
A charming pen, ink and watercolour drawing of a Georgian cottage nestled into the hillside with a walled garden with rambling roses round the door. In the foreground two figures are conversing next to the bee skeps. What though is the strange figure/object standing on the wall by the gate?
Set within an ink lined border, the watercolour is entitled ‘Thornber’s – Hay Close’ and is set in a chunky pine frame with a gilt slip.
