Lady in Pink

François Théodore Rochard

Sold

Sitting serenely holding a small posy of flowers and a handkerchief, this young lady wears a pink silk dress with a lace bertha and Victoria sleeves, her brown hair dressed in long ringlets. Her dress is accessorised with a gold brooch set with red stone and a fine gold chain.

Watercolour on paper with canted corners, the portrait is signed bottom left ‘Fois. Rochard Pinxt’. The signature is blurred, otherwise fine. The portrait is mounted on card with a watercolour line border and is unframed.
