Thornber’s Hay Close

A charming pen, ink and watercolour drawing of a Georgian cottage nestled into the hillside with a walled garden with rambling roses round the door. In the foreground two figures are conversing next to the bee skeps. What though is the strange figure/object standing on the wall by the gate?
