The Lord’s Prayer

This tiny feat of penmanship is dated 1871 and signed with initials. The Lord’s Prayer has been neatly written within a circle that is just ⅝” in diameter. This has then been laid on a larger piece of card which in turn has been laid on paper.

Suffering from some age-browning, the piece is set in an earlier pressed brass frame. The reverse of the frame is cracked and shows old worm holes; the piece is nonetheless stable and can be safely hung for display.
