Miniature Almanack, 1794

Fine Binding

Sold

Exquisitely well-crafted and bijou, this is the ‘London Almanack for the Year of Christ 1794’ published in miniature format by The Company of Stationers. It comprises just 13 gilt-edged leaves but still packs in a lot of information with a page for each month highlighting significant days, a table of Kings & Queens, Lord Mayors & Sheriffs since 1773, a list of holidays, and the weight of coins. The title page has the red tax stamp and there is an engraved view over 4 pages of the Coal Exchange in Thames Street.

The book is beautifully presented in its original decorative calf binding in red, blue and gold with a matching slip-case.

A very rare survivor in immaculate condition.
