Girl in Pink

This cute miniature watercolour portrait shows a little girl carrying a wicker basket and dressed in a pink and white coat with a shawl collar and matching lace-trimmed cap. The painting is one of two listed portraits that are attributed to Mrs Young who reputedly “couldn’t paint faces”!

The watercolour is housed in a period reeded frame.
