Demure in Blue

This well-painted portrait is set against an eye-catching orange background that contrasts very effectively with the teal blue of the lady’s décolleté dress worn with a white underslip. Her auburn hair is swept up and decorated with a rope of pearls.

The portrait is set in a gold bracelet style frame with a pretty beaded border. Apart from a little dust under the bevelled glass, the miniature is in fine condition.
